About Paisley's Posh Paws
Paisley's Posh Paws was built from a lifelong passion for animals and a simple belief: every pet deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, and respect.
I'm Lauren Shelley, owner of Paisley's Posh Paws, and for more than 25 years I've dedicated my life to caring for animals in nearly every aspect of the pet care industry. My experience includes animal shelters, veterinary medicine, professional grooming, boarding, daycare, behavior modification, and dog training—giving me a well-rounded understanding of both the physical and emotional needs of every pet entrusted to my care.
My background includes Animal Sciences studies at Becker College, certification as a Certified Surgical Veterinary Technician, and professional certifications through Animal Behavior College in Veterinary Assisting, Dog Grooming, and Dog Training. I'm also a Certified Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner, allowing me to safely incorporate holistic wellness into many of our services.
Throughout my career, I've continued my education by attending hundreds of seminars and workshops focused on canine behavior, fear-aware handling, grooming, enrichment, confidence building, and relationship-based training. Every lesson has reinforced one important truth—animals learn, heal, and thrive when they feel safe.
That philosophy is the heart of Paisley's Posh Paws.
Whether your pet is visiting for grooming, boarding, training, or Serenity Care, they are treated as an individual—not a number. We intentionally provide one-on-one, relationship-based care in a calm, low-stress environment where every guest is given the time, patience, and compassion they deserve.
But Paisley's Posh Paws is more than just my profession—it's our family's way of life.
Alongside my son, Mason, you'll often hear stories about the animals who inspired this journey and continue to remind us why individualized, compassionate care matters. Our family includes our two beloved Great Danes, Paisley and Vinny, who inspired both our name and our mission. They're joined by our three special-needs cats—Rigatoni, Cheeto, and Pebbles—each with their own unique personalities and stories, as well as our bearded dragon, Met, who certainly keeps life interesting.
Living with animals of different species, personalities, medical needs, and temperaments has strengthened our belief that every pet deserves to be understood, respected, and loved for exactly who they are. They remind us every day that exceptional care goes beyond grooming, training, or boarding—it begins with building trust.
Paisley's Posh Paws isn't simply a grooming salon or boarding facility. It's a place where luxury meets knowledge, wellness meets compassion, and every decision is made with your pet's physical and emotional well-being at the center of everything we do.

Luxury Care for Body, Mind & Soul

Our Team.
At Paisley’s Posh Paws, our team is more than a group of caregivers — we are passionate animal professionals united by a shared philosophy: every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for.
Led by Lauren E. Shelley, founder and owner, our team brings decades of combined hands‑on experience in dog training, grooming, veterinary care, and behavioral support. We specialize in working with dogs of all temperaments, including those who are fearful, anxious, reactive, or simply need a quieter, more personalized environment.
Our culture is rooted in patience, education, and respect for the individual dog. We believe in reading body language, honoring emotional needs, and creating positive, confidence‑building experiences — whether a dog is here for a spa day, serenity care, or an extended stay in our luxury retreat.
Every team member is carefully selected and trained to uphold our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and compassionate handling. We work one‑on‑one whenever possible, integrate calming aromatherapy and enrichment, and move at the dog’s pace — never rushing, never forcing.
What truly sets our team apart is heart. We treat every dog as if they were our own, and every client like family. When your dog is with us, they’re not just being cared for — they’re being understood.
Paisley, our beautiful blue harlequin Great Dane, is the heart behind everything we do at Paisley’s Posh Paws.
Her story didn’t start out the way it should have. Born in a horse stall and left largely on her own, Paisley had little to no early socialization. She learned to potty on shavings instead of grass, which led to significant challenges with housetraining as she grew.
When she came home, she was also battling a heavy parasite load that deeply impacted her gut health—something that, over time, contributed to heightened anxiety and sensitivity to the world around her.
Paisley wasn’t just a “difficult dog.”
She was a dog who needed understanding. Patience. A different approach.
And that’s exactly why Paisley’s Posh Paws was created.
Because of her, we believe every dog—especially those who are fearful, anxious, or have had a rough start—deserves more than just care. They deserve a calm, safe space. A place where they are seen, respected, and treated with compassion.
Paisley taught us that luxury isn’t about appearance—it’s about experience.
It’s about creating an environment where dogs can feel secure, supported, and truly at peace.
She is the reason we do things differently.
She is the reason every dog here is treated like they matter—because they do.
We’re so excited to have Alexis as part of the Paisley’s Posh Paws family. With years of hands-on experience and a true passion for working with dogs of all temperaments, Alexis brings both skill and heart into every groom. Her calm, patient approach makes her an incredible fit for the type of dogs we specialize in—those who may need a little extra understanding and care.
Hi, my name is Alexis. I started my grooming journey in 2013 as a bather. Over the next few years, I bounced around the whole shop, learning to bathe, dry, reception, and eventually earned a mentorship under a Master Certified groomer. Since then, I have worked across the country in everything from mobile grooming, to high volume corporate salons, to small mom and pop shops. I've found that I love working with the more "challenging" pets because it's so much more rewarding being able to gain their trust and see their behavior transform from aggression or fearfulness to that of calm and enjoyment of the process. In my spare time, I enjoy training my personal dogs. I have a small pack of Border Collies that I train and compete with in conformation, obedience, herding, rally, disc, fastcat, dock diving, and scentwork. Dogs are my whole life, and I treat all of my clients as if they were my own!
Mason is our official Cookie & Pet Giver, and truly one of the most important roles here at Paisley’s Posh Paws.
He helps welcome our Serenity Care dogs with gentle energy, offering treats, pets, and reassurance to make every pup feel safe and comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Mason has a natural way with dogs—calm, kind, and full of love—and quickly becomes a favorite among our guests.
Around here, no visit is complete without a Mason greeting. 🐾
