Thereâs something extra special about the first Friday of the year.
The calendar has flipped, the holiday rush has settled, and suddenly everything feels fresh again. New routines. New habits. And for many families â new puppies, or at least a renewed sense of intention for the dogs we already love.
Thatâs where the ânew pup, new youâ energy really shines.
A new year is the perfect time to set dogs up for success, especially puppies. Not through pressure or perfection, but through consistency, calm routines, and experiences that build confidence from the start.
Building Good Habits Early
One of the most important things we encourage for puppies is regular training and regular grooming. These arenât just services â theyâre foundations.
When puppies are introduced to grooming and handling early and often, it becomes normal. Bathing, nails, being touched, listening, and learning all feel familiar instead of scary later on.
For most puppies, we recommend grooming every 2â3 weeks in the beginning. This helps puppies:
Learn that grooming is safe and predictable
Get comfortable with handling early
Build confidence instead of fear
Maintain healthy skin and coat from the start
Gentle Products Make a Big Difference
Because we use extremely gentle, natural, organic shampoos, frequent grooming doesnât harm the skin. In fact, it often helps prevent future skin issues. These shampoos are sulfate-free, toxin-free, and naturally tear-free, allowing the skin to stay balanced and healthy as puppies grow.
Regular bathing with the right products helps the skin regulate itself, reduces irritation, and allows the coatâs true texture and health to come through over time.
Training + Grooming = Confident Dogs
When training and grooming are part of a consistent routine, puppies learn how to relax, focus, and trust. Grooming becomes just another normal experience. Training feels supportive instead of overwhelming.
That combination builds confident dogs â and confident dogs move through the world with far more ease.
A Fresh Start Worth Keeping
The beginning of the year is a reminder that small, thoughtful habits add up. A calm grooming routine. Consistent training. Gentle care that grows with your dog.
So as we head into this first weekend of the year, weâre feeling excited, grateful, and ready for everything ahead â wagging tails, learning moments, and lots of calm, positive experiences.
Hereâs to a year of growth, confidence, and joy â for both you and your pup.
Happy Friday,
Lauren đđž
