Monday Madness and Choosing Calm

The Monday before Christmas always feels different.
It is the day when everything seems to come together at once. Errands that could not wait, plans that shifted, and a quiet kind of stress we did not even realize we were carrying until the calendar reminded us how close the holidays are. For many people, it is a mix of excitement, exhaustion, and simply trying to keep everything moving.
We see it every year.
And when the world feels like it is speeding up, this is often the day we choose to slow things down.
At Paisley’s Posh Paws, Monday Madness is not about rushing dogs through the door or filling every minute of the schedule. It is about creating a sense of calm during a season that can feel overwhelming, especially for dogs who feel changes just as deeply as we do. Shifts in routine, extra noise, new faces, and long days can be a lot, particularly for senior dogs, anxious pups, or dogs who simply prefer a quieter pace.
This time of year is a reminder of why we do things the way we do.
One dog at a time.Quiet moments.Familiar routines.Extra patience.
Some dogs come in needing a bath before visiting family. Some stay with us because their people are traveling. Others are here simply because their humans needed a safe, calm place while errands were being taken care of. Every situation is different, but the heart of it is always trust.
Trusting someone else to care for a dog you love is not a small thing, especially during the holidays. We never take that lightly.
Monday Madness is really just a reminder that it is okay to pause. It is okay to ask for help. And it is okay to choose calm when everything else feels loud.
We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community and to be a place where dogs and their people can take a breath when the season feels heavy.
However your Monday looks this week, we hope it feels gentle. And if it feels messy or rushed, please know you are not alone.
With gratitude,
Lauren 💜🐾
