Winter isn’t just hard on skin and paws — it can affect digestion, joints, and overall comfort too. That’s why this week’s Tasty Treat Tuesday is all about simple, functional treats that support your dog from the inside out.
These recipes are easy, wholesome, and perfect for colder months, whether your pup is lounging at home or coming in for a spa day with us 💜
🥜 Recipe 1: Cozy Peanut Butter Oat Bites
Great for skin, coat & gentle energy
Why we love them:Oats support digestion and skin health, while peanut butter adds healthy fats that help combat winter dryness.
Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients until well combined
Roll into small bite-sized balls
Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up
🐾 Serve as a treat or crumble over meals for picky eaters
🧊 Recipe 2: Frozen Wellness Lick Cubes
Perfect for enrichment & calming
Why we love them:Licking naturally reduces stress and anxiety, and frozen treats help slow dogs down while keeping them mentally engaged.
Ingredients:
Plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened)
Blueberries or mashed banana
Splash of bone broth (low sodium)
Instructions:
Blend ingredients until smooth
Pour into silicone molds or ice cube trays
Freeze for 3–4 hours
🐾 Great after grooming, baths, or during crate rest
🦷 Recipe 3: Simple Crunchy Apple Chews
Light, fresh & great for breath
Ingredients:
Thinly sliced apples (no seeds)
Instructions:
Bake at 225°F for 2–3 hours until dried
Let cool completely before serving
🐾 A gentle, low-calorie treat dogs love
