šŸŽ„šŸ¾ Tasty Tuesday: A Cozy Christmas Treat for Your Pup šŸ¾šŸŽ„

The holidays bring so much comfort into our homes. Warm kitchens, familiar smells, slower moments when we finally sit down, and little traditions that make the season feel special. And if you’re anything like us, your dog is right there in the middle of it all, hoping not to be left out.

This week’s Tasty TuesdayĀ recipe is a simple, dog-safe Christmas treat you can make at home with wholesome ingredients. It’s gentle, festive, and perfect for sharing a quiet holiday moment with your pup.

🦓 Christmas Apple Cinnamon Pup Bites

(dog-safe & gentle)

These soft treats are great for dogs of all ages, including seniors. They’re lightly fragrant, easy to digest, and made with ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1 egg

  • 1½ cups oat flour (or finely ground oats)

  • ½ teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon onlyĀ (dog-safe in small amounts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a bowl, mix applesauce and egg until smooth.

  3. Stir in oat flour and cinnamon until a soft dough forms.

  4. Roll into small bite-sized balls or gently press and cut into shapes.

  5. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until lightly set (not crunchy).

  7. Let cool completely before serving.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.

šŸŽ A Gentle Holiday Treat

These treats are meant to be just that — a treat. A small way to include your dog in the season without overwhelming their system. During the holidays especially, simple ingredients and moderation go a long way.

We love recipes like this because they bring us back to what matters most this time of year. Slowing down. Sharing moments. And caring for our dogs in ways that feel thoughtful and intentional.

From our kitchen to yours, we hope this little recipe brings some joy to your holiday week.

Happy Tasty Tuesday,

Lauren šŸ’œšŸ¾
